Remediation and Restoration

Remediation includes:

• Clearing away debris, dirt and grime, downed trees, and the responsible disposal of material. We clean the entire area, including hidden surfaces (such as the insides of air ducts) so dust, grime, and water damage can't hide from SERVPRO of Beckley teams.
• Disinfection kills remaining germs (including bacteria, viruses, mold, and other non-scientifically-named yucky stuff we can't see), which we also apply to hidden surfaces.
• According to the Environmental Protection Agency, it is impossible to get rid of all the mold spores in a given area as they are too small to see, and so tough they can survive in outer space. We therefore promise to mitigate or remediate damage from mold or other microbial growth, (mitigation includes disinfection) but we cannot promise to get rid of mold spores.
• Getting rid of any other problems that are related to storm damage – we have to be clear about the scope of our work. Don't expect our remediation to include teaching your dog not to dig in the neighbor's trash.
